The Doctoral School of Information Science and Technology organised 5 events on 28th August 2019; two home defences, a viva, a complex exam and a comprehensive exam.

All of our students succeeded in taking the exams. Jun Yow Yong defended his PhD thesis titled „Tools and Methods in Aiding Heat Exchanger Network Retrofit for Better Economic Performance” successfully.

The Faculty organised a so-called multiplier event on 9th July 2019 in order to present the innovations of the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership project titled „Setting the trends in IoT”. Besides the visitors from Hungary we had quests from Romania, Ireland and from Macedonia as well. In the framework of the demo part our colleagues and our students presented the prototypes of the newly developed smart IoT devices (e. g: mini traffic lights, windmill and smart door)

The Doctoral School of Information Science and Technology invites those who are interested to Karim Ben Alaya’s complex exam. The exam takes place on 17th June.

Venue: room number 415, 10 am. The two main topics of his exams are Image and signal processing and Theory of computation II.

Two of our colleagues delivered lecture at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences on 22nd May. One lecture was delivered by Professor György Kozmann titled „Eredmények a hazai egészségügyi informatikában, az alapkutatástól az ipari megvalósításig”, the other one was delivered by Dr. István Vassányi titled „Életmód-támogatás telemedicinális eszközökkel krónikus betegek számára”.

Veronika Szücs defended her PhD thesis successfully on 20th May, so she gained PhD title.

dr. Batıkan Erdem Demír from Karabuk University delivered two lectures to our colleagues and to our students; one on 6th May, whose title was „Autonomous Trajectory and Object Tracking with Quadrotor (Drone)", the other one on 7th May titled „Embedded System Programming”.
