The Department of Mathematics of Faculty of Information Technology organizes the International Geometry and Symmetry Conference between 29 June and 3 July 2015 in Veszprém, Hungary.

The conference is dedicated to Karoly Bezdek and Egon Schulte on the occasion of their 60th birthdays.

The 6th Veszprém Optimization Conference: Advanced Algorithms will be held at the Conference Centre of the University of Pannonia in Veszprém, Hungary, December 14-17, 2014.

The VOCAL conference focuses on recent advances on optimization algorithms: continuous and discrete; complexity and convergence properties, high performance optimization software and novel applications are reviewed as well. We aim to bring together researchers from both the theoretical and applied communities in the framework of a medium-scale event.

8th Japanese-Hungarian Symposium on Discrete Mathematics and Its Applications
June 4-7, 2013 in Veszprém, Hungary

As a part of the long history of cooperation among Japanese and Hungarian scientists in the field of discrete mathematics, the 1st Japanese-Hungarian Symposium on Discrete Mathematics and Its Applications took place in Kyoto in 1999. The participants decided to continue their existing cooperation on a more regular basis and have established a biennial series of conferences. The 2nd, 4th, and 6th Symposiums took place in Budapest in 2001, 2005, and 2009 respectively, while the 3rd, 5th, and 7th ones in Tokyo (2003), Sendai (2007), and Kyoto (2011), respectively.

The 8th Symposium will jointly be organized by the Department of Operations Research, Eötvös University, by the Department of Computer Science and Information Theory, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and by the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Pannonia, Veszprem.
